Privacy Policy

Mark is operated by the entity behind bymark.ai ("Company"). Our formal legal entity name and registered business address are in process and will be published here once finalized. For any privacy question or request, contact aldrin@bymark.ai.

Account information: name, email address, and authentication details, collected when you sign up or sign in. Authentication is handled by our provider, Clerk; we do not store your password.

Billing information: when you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number — Stripe shares with us only what we need to manage your subscription (plan, status, billing history).

Content and site data: the text, keywords, brand-voice samples, and site content you provide or connect so Mark can research, write, and publish articles on your behalf.

Integration data: if you connect a third-party account (WordPress, Webflow, HubSpot, Wix, Google Search Console, Slack, WhatsApp, Google Chat, GitHub, or similar), we receive the access tokens and account information needed to publish content or read the data you've authorized, through our integration provider, Composio.

Usage and device data: pages visited, actions taken in the product, browser and device information, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies (see "Cookies" below).

Communications: messages you send us for support, including over WhatsApp, Slack, or Google Chat if you choose to instruct Mark through those channels.

To provide the service: research keywords, draft and optimize articles, publish to the CMS or channel you've connected, and track how published content performs.

To operate your account: authentication, billing, plan limits, and customer support.

To communicate with you: service notifications, billing receipts, and — only with your consent where required — product updates.

To improve the product: understand how the product is used in aggregate, and to diagnose and fix problems.

To meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

Mark uses third-party AI language model providers, including Anthropic, to research topics, draft and optimize content, and answer your instructions. Content and instructions you provide may be processed by these providers under their own data processing terms in order to generate your articles. We do not use your content to train our own foundation models.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers ("sub-processors") that help us run Mark, each bound by a contract limiting their use of your data to providing their service to us:

• Clerk — authentication and account management.

• Stripe — payment processing and billing.

• Supabase — database and application infrastructure.

• Composio — connecting and authenticating your third-party integrations (CMS, chat, and search-console accounts).

• Anthropic — AI-assisted research and writing, as described above.

• Vercel and Railway — application and infrastructure hosting.

• Google (Analytics and Tag Manager) — aggregate website usage analytics.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Mark, our users, or the public.

Our public site uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and improve the site. These set cookies in your browser. The logged-in product uses cookies required for authentication and session management (via Clerk), which are not optional since the product cannot function without them.

You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings or a cookie-consent tool where offered. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in.

We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time — see "Your rights" below.

Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on standard contractual safeguards with those providers to protect your information.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email aldrin@bymark.ai — we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Mark is a business tool and is not directed to, or intended for use by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy as the product changes. If we make material changes, we will update the date below and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
